The Ornithonat is a huge bird of prey, over 6 metres tall and with a wingspan of up to 11-12 metres. But despite their size, these giants weigh only 300-350 kilograms, thanks to their lightweight skeleton ideal for flight. They feed exclusively on small animals (or offspring of larger ones), fish and carrion. They live in the vicinity of the flightless Gigantris, but do not usually compete. "Deathbirds" nest on rocks in areas where most food will be found often migrating from place to place.
