Code Drop: Golden in the Shell

Finally! Some new artwork to post! (even if I actually finished this a few weeks ago - I suck at updating ^^; )

This was an all round interesting one for me to work on.  tempo321 wanted me to do a piece with his characters Erik and Tess from his story series Code Drop. Now if I may take a moment to say: Tempo does some fantastic work with characters and how they interact with each other. They're believable and behave as though they actually have lives rather than just playing out scenes, and each has their own personality that you can warm to. Erik and Tess are great in particular, and it was fun working up this image :)

So then, this one was done as the promo image for one of the short Code Drop stories he was writing at the time, titled "Golden in the Shell" which takes place at a comic and anime convention. There was a lot of back and forth on this one and the planning stages for getting the characters right took quite a while, particularly working out how the "Erikoma" would look as a cosplay outfit.

Overall, we're both very pleased with how this came out :)
