In this episode (which inspired me), Wolverine, wearing a Beast mask in disguise, scares some children, and then he smiles as he enters the X-Mansion. Watch X-Men TAS again; it's full of scenes where Wolverine behaves differently and acts totally out of character.

It's just strange seeing a jolly expression on Wolverine ever, the 90s animated series captured his general bitterness well. What usually seems to calm him in the series, like with the comics, is how fond several female students are of him. His tendency to be liked by female students is a common ground he shares with Beast, LOL
Well, I love X-Men TAS, but if anything never worked there, it was the characters and their personalities. Frankly, I didn't want to draw a grumpy, aggressive-looking man scaring children. After all, even in the Bloodlines episode, he could act normal. Maybe that's where I really felt, and when he was talking to Kurt, I was really seeing and hearing the Wolverine that was in the Claremont stories in the comics. But in the TAS, almost all of the characters behave completely differently than they do in the comics. Pryde of the X-Men did a much better job with the personalities. Wolverine reminds me of a depressed, sniveling old man's style. Nightcrawler is a sad, bitter 30-something. Colossus is a Russian foreigner who is an idiot who knows nothing. Only the essence of the characters is missing. Wolverine is smiling, and he has facial expressions. Actually, almost all the characters have a much darker tone and mood. The one who really should be is an irritatingly accented idiot: Rogue. "soogah".
