Not long after moving to his new place, Thermite found himself inundated with weirdly aggressive advertisements for some kind of resizing delivery service. From billboards and posters around town that nobody else seemed to notice to his mailbox being jammed with fliers, something about it all gave him the feeling that it would all go away if he just caved and ordered something. Sure enough, the moment Thermite called and placed an order for a cheap guitar pick sized up 30% for his large hands, the adverts all seemed to disappear overnight.
The termite had already forgotten about it all by the next day when he found a new gym to work out in. He hadn't bothered to read the terms and conditions of his delivery, so he was surprised when someone came to deliver his package to him personally instead of leaving it at his door. The delivery guy looked familiar, but Thermite was focused more on the snake's dull yet somewhat nervous expression. Even though Thermite was likely taller than the snake, while sitting down on a bench he didn't like having to look up at him.
Suddenly, that was no longer the case. As if Thermite's thoughts had been made manifest, the snake holding his package suddenly dwindled in size, sinking down to below Thermite's head. The delivery guy widened his stance to keep hold of the package which didn't shrink with him, and the nervousness from before erupted onto his face.
"Holy shit, do that again!" Thermite watched with glee at the frightend snake who, as if unwillingly responding to his command, underwent another shrinking spurt and lost another third of his height. He would have stumbled under the increasing relative weight of his package if Thermite hadn't snatched it from him, stepping forward to loom over what he found to be much more interesting.
