It's Lobo Tate! He's a professional arm-wrestling champion with multiple, multi-year wins. His only major loss (amateur, lost a bar bet) is to Beartram.

Lobo Tate also has got such a man-crush on Beartram, you could simply not comprehend it. A subconscious one. Which expresses itself consciously as petty aggression and seething resentment. Which might explain why he lost. Which only made him lust for/hate Beartram even more. And so on, so forth.
