Just some fanart to celebrate the completion of Vaporeon249's Fatality series of novels!
Reading these is still on my to-do list and has been for quite some time. I have the first book in both paperback and digital and kept telling myself I would buy the second once I finished the first... Now the last one is coming out, and I haven't finished any of them! I hope to fix that soon.
Regardless, doesn't prevent me from trying to make something nice. I attempted to nod to the clever tree-numbering on the series' covers, but I feel like it falls flat here. The minimalism in the original covers just captures the vibe in a way that my style normally doesn't. Ah, well.

This is so thoughtful! Thank you! Sorry I didn't comment right away, too busy silently squealing with glee.
I really like this. I've never done anything with her in it using warm tones, and it's beautiful to see how you worked with it. Also, you know how to do backgrounds well! (Do it more! Please?) You also gave the whole image some focal depth. You say it "falls flat" but it very much didn't. Plus, the style of the book covers is a pain to reproduce and was only picked because I wasn't allowed to do this (your picture).
I love how you rendered Fatality. She looks sad and cold, and in need of a hug.
I'd love to feature this on my website, and give you credit, of course. Also, is it okay if I show this on my socials (Twitter, Bluesky, Threads)? If it's okay, please let me know how you'd like to be credited and if there is a profile you'd like me to link it to, or have a username you'd like to be @ at. I'm really over the moon with this, and want to share.

Oh, I'm so glad you like it! That makes it all worth it (:
I've just been enjoying the changing of the seasons, I think. I was lucky enough to drive pretty far north recently (New York State) and got to see some very pretty foliage. So, that was fresh on the mind seeing Fatality in my submissions inbox! I really couldn't resist, especially with the timing. Congrats!!
I have kind of a soft spot for minimalism, but I always struggle with it. It's something I'd like to practice with, honestly.
I would definitely give her a hug if I thought I wouldn't lose a limb!
Please, absolutely feel free to share this around! I'm delighted you enjoy it enough to want to do that. I don't have any of the socials you mentioned, so linking back here would be okay by me! I go by xHunterBeatsx on most other sites, but that's not very many, mainly inactive accounts. I'm just excited you like it! I might do some quiet squeaing of my own, oops.

I've heard Upstate's fall foliage is legendary. What beautiful inspiration, and I really like the end result. Even if minimalism was what you wanted to go for but didn't, I like the work a lot.
Thank you for allowing me to share it. I'll credit you as "IBlueIISkyI / xHunterBeatsx".
