Hello again everycreature. You know? This weekend I wasn't feeling in the mood of working on a new artwork, instead I had another of my silly ideas, doing a 3D model of a custom keyboard inspired in the ABDL spirit, with its RGB lighting and all that stuff hehe.
Doing 3D models is a really nice way of taking a break of art and honestly I'm so much better modelling objects than characters, so this was pretty fun and nice to do. It may look a bit tedious, but it isn't that complicated, and the result really worth it in my opinion hehe.
So, what do you think? Are you needing this keyboard in your life so bad or not? :3

This is a very interesting concept. Are there any features of the keyboard you feel particularly proud of having modelled into the keyboard?

When I read the information for this submission, I thought about how soft the keys on the Apple 2E were back in the late 1980s and early 1990s. I felt relaxed when I would type on the keyboard as there seemed to be a kind of smooth finish put on each key. The sound they made when you pressed the keys was also quite soothing compared to the more aggressive CLACK-CLICK most keyboards I have used since the days of having been introduced to computers at school through the Apple 2E.
***
Outside of old memories of very old computers, I also see the keyboard having a plush, baby / pastel pink color to compliment the baby / pastel blue colored keys that have a smooth finish and make more of a THUP-THUK sound when they are pressed over the less desirable clicking and clacking modern keyboards tend to have.
***
You really could take this concept a long way if you so wanted to do so. It could even be for more than just ABDL users, too. A keyboard with soft colors, cozy textures, and more soothing key clicks could prove very therepeutic for someone with arthritic hands and/or a person who is on the Autistic spectrum.

Well, I'm really proud of finding a way to allow me working on this project properly. You see Yosh, this keyboard has about 300 different objects which means a lot of triangles for my limited hardware to calculate. It was lagging so bad when I had to work in the last parts of the model and I was about to give up when I found an option to reduce the amount of detail in the workspace to allow me work without a lose of performance. I also had to send the render to a render farm because my PC doesn't have enough power to render it without crashing. So, summarizing, I'm basically too proud of being able to finish it.
One of my favorite things of computers is using keyboards. I trend to write a lot of messages to my friends and I simply find really relaxing and calm to push every key, so I understand perfectly what you mean with that sensation of hitting keys. These days there are tons of different switches for keyboards, some really silent so you can have a silent experience with still a good tactile experience. It is a whole world that thing of custom keyboards out there.
You're not too far of how the keyboard looks. It features light blue and magenta colors for the different keys, inspired in the ABDL flag, but the most important custom detail of the keyboard are the custom legends for the special keys, let me make a list for you my friend.
- Escape key was changed by a pacifier icon
- Windows key was changed by a safety pin icon, those ones used for cloth diapers.
- Enter key had an L shaped arrow pointing to a diaper icon, like saying "Enter to the diaper".
- Tab key was replaced with "Tapes"
- Caps Lock key was replaced with "Crib Lock"
- Shift key was replaced with "Change"
- Control key was replaced with "Bib"
- Alt key were replaced with "AB" and "DL keys
- Backspace key was replaced with "Regression"
- Space bar key has a big legend saying "Little Space"
- Nums lock key was replaced with "Nom"
All those changes were really fun to think by the way hehe.
