This was one where I wanted to mainly draw magic since I haven't really done anything like that in a while. Or at least where it was the defining characteristic of the drawing. I still need more work on doing backgrounds. The amusing thing is that I didn't really want it to just look like a dragonball move and now it kind of looks like a sort of off-brand spirit ball. Ah well. For the spell itself I actually kind of liked how the effect behind the ball looked and that was done entirely by accident and then had to spend quite a bit more effort to try and make it work with a background behind it.

All things considered I probably should have trimmed down the top of the image as there is a lot of sky above the spell and nothing really going up there. I also kind of like how the body turned out though the legs are a bit thicker than I wanted but I wanted a very spread out stance and that's what ended up. I also probably made the claws a bit too prounced. Beyond that i also went about adjusting the outline to more correspond with the lighting and color of the area. Not the best, not my worst. One hour spent on the sketch, 2.5 hours on the color for a total time of 3.5 hours.
