King Lionel XVIII (Monarch Major) of Leonine standing next to Roger J. Raticus (Snare Soldier), dressed in their typical clothes (royal outfit and drum major uniform). The two are alternating drummers for the big band/jazz fusion ensemble known as the Drumbum Jazz Ambassadors, and occasionally play together when having a drum battle. Their amazing talents have led admirers to hail them the Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich of the animal kingdom, respectively. The rat's talents in particular have led critics to say that he "makes Buddy Rich look like a pathetic amateur even today."
The king is not a Drumbum despite playing with DJA, as Forsythian cultures would have seen that as below the king. However, when CNG got him, it gave him all the qualities of a typical Drumbum: the physique of a bodybuilder, but with musical talents to the point it has become second nature to him, and so he performs with them because of this. (The same is true for the king of Ratatat, King Ross II, but he is a tenor saxophonist.)
The band's first album was entitled "The King and the Soldier," inspired by the old-time jazz album "Krupa and Rich."
