Well what shenanigans have these two been up to since the end of their Archie story? With how complex the conflicts and alliances got in the series before its end I'm not sure it'd be impossible for these two to end up as temporary co-inhabitants of the same villainous prison. Putting aside their differences might be easier for Tails, but for Speedy? That might take a little extra work, but not that they'll have much choice in the matter for the time being.
