This is a redraw of my third ever piece, uploaded here on FurAffinity two years ago today (+1 day): https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44511701/ First off, I want to give a massive thank you to everyone who has favorited, watched, commented and commissioned me over the past year. It really means a lot. I not only read every comment but I go to each and every profile of the people that favorite and watch me here on FA (though this is a policy that may soon be abandoned, for those that favorite my art at least). Though I have had my own ups and downs over the course of my time on this website, the community has always poured forth positivity above all else. I really appreciate it.
I will say that last year I decided that I wanted to try and hit 500 watchers on my FurAffinity page by my second year anniversary. I am happy to say that we did not get there. We got to 450, which is pretty close, and I am happy to say that because it made me realize that I shouldn't get mad about the numbers, there are hundreds of people that have followed me just to see my art and I should be forever grateful for that.
I also wish to go back and say another thank you to my commissioners in specific, as I really would not be here without them and I appreciate the fact that they are actually willing to give me, of all people, money for drawing some boobies. I love you all, and I am also sorry for the people who commissioned me early on because those drawings sucked.
Last year, in my One Year Anniversary post, I stated that I really started drawing furry porn in order to make money, however as the months have gone on, I have come to realize that having that mindset will only lead to issues. Instead, I've decided that moving forward I will be focusing more on OCs, drawing stuff that I want to, and chilling out with commissions. As well, it seems that the United States government has decided to change the amount of money freelance artists can make before reporting it to the IRS to $600 USD, from a previous figure of $20,000 USD. Now, instead of being able to comfortably take commissions year round, I am threatened by the IRS after taking a mere seven commissions in one year. This is bad, not because I don't want to give my government taxes (though I will say I don't) It is bad because my parents will 100% find out if I am paying taxes on something that, formerly, they did not know about, most likely leading to me being estranged due to the nature of what I draw. In simpler terms: I am experiencing a lot of anxiety because I can no longer make more than $600 USD a year with commissions, and if I do I either commit tax evasion/fraud or am estranged from my family. I won't be able to comfortably fill out a 1040 Form until I'm 25, when I will be totally separate from my parents financially. However, I am sure none of you really care about me whining about taxes so now I will move on.
For my One Year Anniversary post, I hosted a Q&A which was comprised entirely of questions I made because I didn't have the foresight to actually make any posts asking for peoples' questions. This year I did not make the same mistake, and I have received a total of 14 unique questions from three different websites, though several have multiple parts. Not wishing to leave anyone behind, I have crafted lengthy answers to each question.
So, without further ado, I present my 2 year Q&A (questions ordered chronologically)Rocker234 on FA asks:
“Have you had any furry crushes over the years?”
Answer:
Though many people come to the furry fandom because they found anthro characters from certain media cute, I am not one of them. That isn’t to say I don’t find a lot of them attractive, it’s just that I’ve never really seen any with attributes that led me to crush on them, even in my youth (heck, especially in my youth). The closest I have to one is Kitty Softpaws, not a crush I formed watching the original Puss in Boots movie as a wee lad, –no– but as an adult watching the sequel. I just like her strength and attitude and she does have a cute design. Still, though I have a strong yearning to draw art of her upon rewatching the movie, the crush I have is hindered by Puss himself, who I recognize as a character much better suited for her than I could ever be, so that’s why my “crush” on her, is something I don’t really tend to deem as such. I guess some other honorable mentions could be, Amali from Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom, and Diane Foxington. Both of them should have massive asterisks next to them because I don’t think about them constantly or think about them romantically. They aren’t really crushes, just characters from media I like who have cute designs that I took note of upon my very first playthrough/watch. And yes, Amali, not Saki like I’ve drawn twice, but Amali, the green one that I have drawn a total of zero times. I just find her design slightly better.
TL;DR: Not really, even in childhood. The closest is Kitty Softpaws from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish due to her strength, attitude and design, but even then I think Puss himself is better for her.
Monoymous on Twitter asks:
“F*ck, Marry, Kill: Furry Milf Edition. Toriel, Kanga, Nicole Waterson”
Answer:
I’ll have to go with marrying Toriel, having sex with Kanga and killing Mrs. Waterson.
As you should know I love my milfs so this was tough, but my reasonings are as follows: Toriel is very warm and welcoming, always appreciates a good joke, and would probably baby me even though I’m her husband, which I wouldn’t mind if that means we get ample cuddle time. She is also single and doesn’t have any kids at home, though the lore around why she doesn’t have kids at home and why she’s single is… a lot, I’ll choose to ignore it. I would have sex with Kanga (not f*ck there might be kids reading) because though she doesn’t have that huge size and only has a fraction of the cuddly, warm nature of Toriel, she still has it for the most part. I also would want to have sex with her just to feel how having sex with an animate stuffed animal would feel like. I’m a texture person when it comes to my fantasies and I think she would provide a very unique experience in bed. I would kill Nicole Waterson because not only does she completely lack that cuddly nature of the other two, she is also in a strong relationship with her husband. Oh and she has three kids which is a lot more than Kanga’s one. She’s still pretty hot and her temper and authority would mean she could yell at the McDonald’s employee when they messed up my order for me (while at the same time totally turning me on). but for the most part I look for the more nurturing side of a milf, so that’s why I’d choose Toriel and Kanga over her.
Yes_It_Is on FA asks:
“Will we be seeing any OCs from you in the future?”
Answer:
Definitely.
Though when I went into this business of drawing furry porn I was only thinking about drawing popular characters as they got all the likes and attention, thus allowing me to grow my brand, over time I began to warm up to the idea of making OCs, something that I hadn’t ever done despite being “the art kid” for all of my life. I actually made four OCs back at the start of July for the annual Art Fight, but all I did was take some old sketches and draw some rough headshots for them. So that’s probably why you still think I don’t have any OCs, because I haven’t taken the time to actually draw them to a level where I’d share it. They also all aren’t very fleshed out either. But hopefully in the very near future you should be seeing them pop up in some of my art. In fact, Lil Tell Tails made a fantastic drawing of one of them, the goth bovine Ebony, for Art Fight that you can check out right now on his Twitter and Fur Affinity pages. Also, if all goes to plan, the drawing I redid this year will feature my Australian Shepherd OC Mia for the second time ever and thus making her an official character of mine.
LordKitsuna on Discord asks:
“uhhhhhhh, If you had the ability to be magically gifted one partner, of any species real or not but you would only ever be able to be with that partner for the rest of your life. What species would you choose, and what body type would they have?”
Answer:
To be frank I would probably choose a human (don’t really care about the ethnicity), body type wise they’d be a bit taller than me, so about 186 cm tall (6’1”). Also I’m giving in to all my sexual desires with the body, so she would have a nice, large, shapely butt, thick thighs, big boobs and the slightest bit of chub.
I guess the real answer here is finding the loophole and saying their species is a “shape shifter”. Then I’d get to have sex or cuddle with or experience life with anything of any body type I want. And since I have so many ideas and desires, this may just be how I would approach it if I didn’t feel guilty that it’s more of the cop out answer.
Ok, and if you wanted the “furry” answer, and human was too boring, I’d choose a fox or a wolf. In anthro form obviously. Sorry that it’s so basic, but outside of art, where I feel I like every species as long as they're drawn sexy enough, when it comes down to one species in real life, then I’d have to think more practically. Birds, my beloved, would have wing hands, talon feet and beaks, they probably wouldn’t even be able to fly themselves, let alone pick me up with them. Maybe a dragon, if she were big enough, but being so big would be pretty impractical. So I would choose fox or wolf because they’re fluffy, have normal mouths for oral, have fluffy tails, and have paws. Little known fact, I’m a sucker for good paws with paw pads. Just a fun texture to touch on actual animals, and in furry NSFW, well… I’ve always wondered what a pawjob would feel like. As for the body type, same as the human one, making sure she also has human genitalia, but digitigrade legs and more bulky hands with paw pads would be fine (I actually want to draw hands like that in my art but have been too lazy to learn).
Manny_Momo on Discord asks:
“Would you consider yourself as part of the furry community or moreso an artist who simply draws in a furry style? What aspects of the community appeal to you and how do you contextualize yourself in the ongoing tensions over sexualization in the fandom?”
Answer:
Though at this time last year I would consider myself in the latter group, an artist that draws furries and likes looking at drawings of furries but doesn’t really participate in the fandom elsewhere, currently I’ve begun participating in the furry community to a much greater extent than I initially planned. I’ve been working on OCs, looking at more SFW furry art, and have grown a better appreciation for what the furry community stands for on the whole. I would also be a fool to have been drawing exclusively furries for two years straight and have a fursona but not admit that I am part of the furry community. Even if it’s not what I initially intended, it was inevitable. Though I would still not consider myself a furry, which goes into the second and third parts of the question. Furries are associated with a lot of negative things as well as some more neutral things that I just find a little too odd for me. I am part of the community, yes, but when it comes to expressing myself that way in real life, I don’t and I have no desire to. I think it’s a pretty neutral thing to wear a fursuit or ears and a tail in public, for specific events or just for fun, but I am fine with myself as the human I am.
When it comes to your last question about the over sexualization of the fandom... I mean, I’m a furry PORN artist, I am the problem am I not? But at the very least I don’t bring my stuff into the spaces of minors, or wear fetishwear in real life in areas where people who don’t want to see it would be exposed to it. Again, I’m not a furry, but as someone who is part of the community and understands what the community is meant to mean; a lot of young, impressionable children that just want to be accepted are going to be drawn to the fandom. These are vulnerable people and people that shouldn’t be exposed to this side of any fandom because believe it or not furries aren’t just something for adults, so when people are getting overtly sexual in an open, general space on the internet or in real life there is 100% a possibility of a child seeing that. And that’s just not good. Also, of course, it gives the community a bad rap in the wider public eye, and though the general hatred of furries on the internet has decreased since 2016/2017, the stigma will never fully dissipate until the community can understand when it is the right time to sexualize things and when it is the right time to keep things PG.
Sorry for yapping, it seems I missed a part of the question, “what aspects of the community appeal to you?”. I would say that I like the anonymity, being able to start this little experiment up and never having to get my furry porn mixed in with my personal life and art I make for school and such. I would also say that most of the people that I’ve met have been fun to chat to and encouraging. Finally, and I’m going to sound like a greedy capitalist here, but I’m glad that it’s a community where artists are in constant need as peoples’ OCs kind of have to be drawn, so I am always assured that I have a stream of commissions to keep me upright financially, which is a lot better than some other fandoms, especially after the advent of AI art. I mean, at some point AI art will get good enough to draw everyone’s OCs perfectly just from a prompt, but at least for now the community at large still relies on the artists.
IAmARealAccount on Twitter asks:
“What is your favourite Pokemon?”
Answer:
Would you believe me if I said I never played Pokemon? Not even Pokemon Go. I own a DS, a Wii and a Switch, yet not a single Pokemon game. Therefore my answer will be based entirely on what I know from furry porn.
Mewtwo. Big thighs and also like some sort of man-made god in the lore, that’s freaking cool.
Beckman005 on Twitter asks:
“What motivates you to draw NSFW art?”
Answer:
Money.
Okay, not really, I mean when I’m not doing commissions I still draw a lot of art. So here’s a couple of other reasons. But first I feel it is important to address that I don’t jerk it to any of the art I make, I don’t draw it to appease my own sexual fantasies; if I wanted to masturbate to a specific character or scenario, I’d think of it in my head. The reasons that I do draw furry NSFW outside of commissions is that I want to grow my brand, and commissions are not always sure bets on being popular with the community at large, but drawing popular characters in basic sexual situations is. And, secondly, I want to give back to the community that has given me so much material over the years.
Dreamcard on FA asks:
“What's your favorite scary movie? 👻”
Answer:
Get Out
It’s actually one of a very short list of scary movies that I’ve seen, but I love the commentary and meaning at this movie’s core. It also features a scenario that I just innately hate to my very core, that being hypnotism. Hate it. Great movie though, amazing direction, premise and acting and it really stuck with me.
Zentron on FA asks:
“What is the kink you love drawing the most ;) ?”
Answer:
I don’t really like drawing any kink over one another, to an extent. What I mean is that there are a lot of kinks that I hate to draw, but an even greater number of kinks that I feel perfectly fine drawing. Still, there aren’t any that I absolutely love. I guess I’ll say lactation, because that is very easy to add as an alt and I like lactation in general.
Bumpin121 on Twitter asks:
“Who’s your favorite character [to draw]?”
AnonNSFW on FA asks:
“Which characters do you most enjoy drawing?” and “Do you play games? And in that case, what genres/kinds of games do you enjoy?”
Answer:
SCP-1471 or Loona, I just find the hair fun for both and it’s pretty easy to create a solid likeness. I do like how with SCP-1471 you have more creative freedom in how you draw her, so every artist’s rendition of her looks different. The skull head is also fun. Loona is just super easy for me to draw; I can whip up a simple wolf head and add some thigh highs, long hair that covers one eye and a couple marks in the ear and BOOM: Loona. That doesn’t mean these are my favorite characters in general, but to draw, definitely those two.
I play a few games, though I haven't played much recently. My favorite games are all over the place genre-wise. I like story games that don’t focus on gameplay like Night in the Woods. I like tricky puzzle-detective games like The Return of the Obra Dinn. I really like simulation games like Cities: Skylines, though my favorites are Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 & 2 and Parkitect. I like RPG games like Fallout 1, 2, New Vegas, Cyberpunk 2077 and Skyrim. I like big, open world action games like Red Dead Redemption 2. I like Minecraft, especially just building in creative, but also playing competitive bedwars as well (That’s about as competitive as I get). When it comes to FPS games, I like playing Phantom Forces on Roblox. I’m all over the place really, and don’t find myself settling into one genre that much. I guess I play and watch the most from the simulation game genre, but I really love RDR2 and New Vegas, as well as Minecraft of course.
UnwaryRook28 on FA asks:
“For how long have you been an artist? Was it before you came here to FA?”
Answer:
I mean, I’ve been a furry porn artist since I came to FA, but as for being an artist in general, no: I’ve been doing it for essentially my whole life. I didn’t really start getting good at it until high school, though prior I had really started to perfect my ability of copying images in terms of line contours. In high school, however, I started to diversify the media that I used and got better at rendering images and stretching references/working from imagination. This point is also what led me to draw furries because drawing them has helped me a lot with anatomy and getting more creative and stylized with my art.
SilentBandit on Twitter asks:
“I have a lot, but I'll only drop a few: What inspired you to start drawing? What is your favorite piece you've drawn? Who is your fav artist and why? What is the longest you've ever worked on an artwork? Will you consider animation one day?”
Answer:
I wouldn’t say that anything specific inspired me to start drawing, I just liked drawing ever since I was a child and kept at it throughout school. I guess I had a little bit of talent, but I also made sure to try my best in art classes, learning techniques to create stuff I was proud of which only got me more excited to continue my artistic journey –like a positive feedback loop.
My favorite piece isn’t one that I’ve drawn, it’s an oil painting. I made it as part of my AP Studio Art portfolio (for those who don’t know, think of it like a college class you take in a public school when you’re in your late teens). I made a lot of oil paintings for that portfolio, but my very last painting was the culmination of me learning oil paint over a year and a half, and I just love the composition, texture and realism I was able to portray. No I will not include a picture, it shows my face!
My favorite artist is a tricky question, there’s so many great artists out there all inspiring me in different ways. I really like Caravaggio and how he uses light, I like Dalí and his surrealist works, Monet and his incredible impressionism, Hopper with his unique composition and storytelling. The list goes on. Of course, there’s also a bunch of great contemporary artists, but I am just unable to pick a single favorite.
The longest I’ve ever worked on an artwork is another hard question, just because I usually don’t keep track of time. I am also a notoriously slow worker, so most of my work takes much longer than it really should. Most of what I do takes at least three hours, but my projects can be so varied in both media and scope that the upper end to me is a mystery. I know some of my longest digital works have taken over 10 hours to make. If they were made by someone with more understanding of the software who had an actual drawing tablet, they would’ve only taken half the time. For traditional works –I really don’t know– maybe 12 hours? The thing is that as I get more familiar with a medium I get faster, even if the pieces I work on have more detail and are larger, so like my first large oil painting took forever (and it wasn’t even that big).
I have already considered animation, and the result was pretty lackluster so I kind of decided to focus on making my basic style of stuff, this goes for both the NSFW space and for all my art outside of that space. Animation is just an entirely new skill set, and though I’ve consumed a lot of knowledge about animation from YouTube, trying it out for myself, and watching animated movies, I still don’t think it’s right for me. Maybe in the far future, once I’ve really honed my craft, but for the near future… don’t hold your breath.
Hawwstread on FA asks:
“Any kinks that just scratches your itch yet too embarrassing/not wanting to draw it?”
I’m really glad you asked this because I have a fair few kinks/fetishes that I don’t ever plan on drawing. Not because it’s “too embarrassing” just because I don’t draw the porn for myself, and the kinks I have are a bit too niche to get the type of large audience I’m seeking to cater to. My biggest fetish of all time is hypnotism/mind control. Specifically women being hypnotized to do lewd things by having their common sense altered or by having them unaware of their actions entirely. I don’t know why I have this fetish, I don’t know why it’s so overpoweringly arousing to me, and the worst part is that I actually hate hypnotism and loss of control in any context outside of this one specific area. A man being hypnotized in porn? Hate it. Any person of any gender being hypnotized against their will outside of porn? Despise it. I think that’s why I’ll never draw it; I hate it so much unless it’s porn I’m looking at, so drawing it for others and coming up with the concept, no matter how arousing it would be if it was drawn by another artist, just never sits right with me. Also, it’s important to remember that hypnotism is a very niche fetish and has to be pretty watered down to be generally liked. In other words, I’d be alienating a large part of my audience if I drew it. Besides hypnotism I do have some lesser kinks that are just a bit too weird to draw. One of them is transformation. Specifically species transformation. Gender transformation is alright, but since I’m straight I usually can only get invested in half of it. Species transformation however? Brilliant. And this is mainly because of the common trope of those going through transformation also going into heat at the same time. I guess it plays into the submissive female/lack of control of my hypnotism fetish. IDK. Transformation is very alienating, like even more so than hypnotism and truly is a black and white love it or hate it sort of thing. I know a fair few of my followers love it, but I don’t want to push away the other half. Also it’s just a lot of work having to do at least three entire poses just to convey one fetish. The final one I’ll mention here is urine. My fetishization of urine is very specific and isn’t as… intense as some other people. That’s why it’s “urine” and not “watersports”. I do not seek for someone to pee in my mouth nor do I seek to have someone pee in my mouth, I just find it hot when women pee their pants or casually urinate, okay! Unlike the other two, this is something I have definitely considered doing in the past and if anyone were to have a commission for me that included it as I have described, I would love to do it –unlike hypnotism (Okay I’d still probably consider hypnotism if it were a commission, but I’d only do a full TF sequence if I was getting paid in full for each pose because that is a lot of work). There’s probably some others that aren’t as big for me, but those are the ones that pop up in my mind. I have done a fair few of my kinks in my art already like the mommy kink Lactaid Cow, the larger female size difference Ender Dragon, I’ve also done a bunch of pawpad, lactation and legwear/socks already, because those can be integrated a lot easier than other fetishes, instead of taking up the entirety of the piece.
