The end result of the first written challenge I ever took on. I liked it enough to publish it here. As a sort of bench mark for future works starring original characters.

The United Republic of Anthromerica is one of the most fat-embracing cultures of the world. After gaining their independence from the Scotainian Empire, obesity was seen as a sign that every citizen, from federal governmental officials to working class Joes were as successful as they obese monarchs of their old empire. As the most economically successful nation in modern history, with plenty of fertile land for growing crops and raising livestock, food was never in short supply, expect it times of crisis. Women are generally fatter than men, since patriarchal values said they should be homemakers, and men the breadwinners.
