he's genuinly sad for scaring the kids. even before the big upgrades, he kept being told that there was something wrong with him by others and that he needed to be fixed. it hurt his feelings and he lashed out on everyone without knowing why, until now. the kids made him feel cool and loved as he was, so having his little fans taken away by the others made him upset.

It's serious and tender moments like these that really make me fall in love with a character. I already love Monty so much and this shows that he really does care inside, not wanting to look weak.
