I've been to an exhibit of Bill Mauldin's Original art in the 1990s. Was at the National Guard base south of Oklahoma City. One of my grandfather's cousins was in that unit - 45th Infantry. I ended up with the family copy of Up Front, 1945 printing given to the returning troops.

Odd how I ended up with it. Purchase at a library book sale in Texas. Open cover and find relatives names written in there. Dad just about fell over when I showed him the book

I have yet to find a decent quality, diet root beer out here in "La-La Land." Some of the brews offered at Galco's Soda Pop Stop might be worth going through.
