Today is Skyrim day (11-11) and since Skyrim is one of my favorite games of all time, I've been playing the game a lot lately. I've been enjoying an NPC follower mod called Aurora, a snow leopard khajiit with a very powerful spellsword and an amusing penchant to be more tanky in combat than perhaps a mage should be, which has grown on me! Since I cannot give her headpats in-game I decided to draw it.

Ah yes, definitely spent many fun hours playing that game. Exploring the regions, doing quests, defeating the vampires, saving Soltsheim, installing all sorts of mods (particularly the sexy ones <_< >_>), working for the Thieves Guild, retrieving artifacts and winning the civil war for the Empire.
Only very recently did I realize that there was one thing I didn't do in Skyrim:
"Oh yeah, I was supposed to do something about the dragons, right?"

While not the same as a head pat I think you can place a bucket over an NPC's head, but why would you want to hide a face that adorable? ❄🐆 🐾
In an alternate reality I could definitely see Aurora as an ancestor to your Dutchess. A peasant born with little who yearned for more in life leading to a descendant who has authority but dresses modestly minimalistic to remain humble.
