"Howdy hey!" - Angel

Optimistic yet naive, Angel lived his entire life in a world unlike any other, one where the very idea of laws of physics were reduced to a mere gag on the daily with the lack of limits a toon like him had. From small pies, to large pianos nothing was off the table for him and his cartoon friends.
After a long day of fun slapstick Angel began to head back home as the bright sky slowly darkened, though with the town's sidewalks filled with people aplenty it quickly dawned on him how long it'd take to even move one foot. With every second longer than the last, he slowly began to deviate away from his usual path home in hopes of finding one much shorter.
A few wrong turns were all it took for Angel to lose sense of direction, eventually spotting a desolate alleyway amongst the colorful houses and apartments. Without any options left he gleefully skipped into the empty walkthrough, ignoring the spills of black fog that slowly began to consume the walls around him, his ignorant self continued to walk further til he no longer was able to discern where the walls began and where the exit ended.
Once the dark mist fully wrapped around him Angel's delayed fear finally kicked in, rapidly swatting at the fog in a pathetic attempt to get rid of it. Fortunately enough for him it worked, but unfortunately for him the once bright and cheerful world Angel knew was gone by the time the most vanished, in its place laid a barren forest with color as lifeless as a corpse, and foliage just as lively. Wherever he ended up in didn't matter, the goal of going home remained whilst he searched around the empty forest.
A small glimpse of warm light shone amidst the trees, catching his gaze immediately, and with nothing to lose he approached it.
