The landscape of the Oore Region has changed very little since the cataclysm. No one knows why: the best speculation is that in such a desolate wasteland with where only the strong survive, Cyrus perhaps felt that Chaos and Oblivion was already rampant there. The only difference that has changed now is that only Pokemorphs inhabit the region, fighting for survival.

Team Snagem and Cipher

With this new change, there grows a terrible crime. Team Snagem and Cipher, notorious for marketing shadow pokemon, have once again appeared. They disguise themselves as commercial salesman or preachers, offering promises of better lands, better housing, and better food for all. They gather pokemorphs in droves of the hundreds and then put them in cages.

Team Cipher then proceeds to close the hearts of morphs, transforming them into shadow pokemorphs. This process isn't so difficult to transition from a pokemon to a pokemorph, so they are easily able to create slaves.

The Shadow Morphs are then taken into the slave market, where the highest bidders take them in as either servants, hard work labor, or even as gladiators to fight in the Colliseum.

The Colliseum
The Oore Colliseum has been remodelled for the purpose of death matches between Shadow Morphs. The unhappy crowds pour in and fill the seats almost every night, howling with lust and fury as the pokemorphs fight one another to the death. In by doing so, fill the coffers of Team Snagem and Cipher.

It is a foolish assumption to simply disregard Team Snagem and Cipher as evil. This is not so. They're not out for conquering the world or killing people. They preach to others of a better world and a better style of living but keeping all the pleasures to themselves. They're simply doing what all of Oore has done: survive. And what better way than to extort off the very masses?
