This is a variation on the traditional crane. It uses a five-sided preliminary base. I don't usualy fold it because the first fold is a guess. The five-sided preliminary base can also be used to make five petal flowers, stars, and various birds. It took about five minutes to get this to stand up long enough for me to get a clear picture. It uses no supports to hold it up.
