I noticed the weird tag mess too.
As for how they know, they appear to be a friend, so from the person on the phone's perspective, what they are describing is what THEY remember living through and experiencing with the girl, being there when people made fun of her long neck and her tail, and everything else that might come up.
As she changes, their friend's memory changes, as does the rest of reality to fit her new form.

It isn't. She's saying "Your remote" because the other person gave it to her, not because it's a product from a company. The friend might have MADE the remote themselves or found it or been given it, it happens in some fictions with wish granting objects. One person gets it, then passes it on to the next person, and so on.
I can see that being confusing though.
