Star Wars Furry - Seite 112
No words needed again.
For this key moment, I needed to draw the comic page with grey shading. And I must say: I miss my old scanner with the old picture manager programm. My apologies if the quality of the scan is not really good.
I listened to this well known music arrangement while drawing this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gpXMGit4P8
It also is the mirroring scenario to this page here, where poor Voolvif watched a sunrise, moments before order 66, closing here the chapter of his life as a Jedi.

I think you did very well to add to the mood, the comic page itself feels like its from quite a while back in time. Aged...old...damaged...but so very easily salvageable and holds its own beauty even still, if not more beauty added to it. Even if it is a bit of a tragic beauty, but the page itself is still lovingly taken care of despite seeing some wear through time.
Stop stealing my tears.
This is so sad, but also so beautiful. And it goes so well with the music.
Come to think of it, all your scenes go well with existing Star Wars music.
This is so masterfully, wonderfully, beautifully done. I love it. It is perfect.
The sunset truly represents the end of a golden age.

Thank you very much again for the nice compliment.
I wanted this moment to be special.
It is in fact mirroring not only Voolvif´s moment watching the sunrise before order 66, it is also mirroring Luke watching the binary sunset. Luke watches (from left to right) into the future, towards the setting suns.
Voolvif looks back (from right to left) towards the suns setting, where his old life was.

A stark contrast to look back and remember Voolvif watching the sunrise, feeling full of hope and joy, making a joke and sharing a touching moment with Captain Curious, but just moments before all the tragedy unfolded. Yet here as he watches the sunset, beset by grief and full of turmoil, believed dead by the galaxy, the Jedi he was in a very real sense dead and he will have to take on a new life and identity though in a sense having reached the point where he can acknowledge this and so perhaps he can begin the long slow and painful path to rebirth.
The grey shading here, muted and giving it a sombre air, as we hear that familiar theme playing and think of the young Luke, as well as feel just an echo of what Voolvif might feel. Yet all the same there's a real beauty to this page and a testament to your skill as an artist in evoking such emotion without the need for words.
