Meet Matilda, affectionately known as Mattie! There is nothing physically wrong with Mattie, but she is a victim of the foresting industry. Some men cut down a tree her family had made a nest in and shipped it off to the sawmill, where they found little fuzzy baby Mattie hungry and crying inside. Unfortunately Mattie imprinted on the people trying to rehabilitate her and, though they tried several times, she could not be returned to the wild.
