I’d had an inkling that the herbs the shaman pulled out would have effects on my mind. The idea of going on some kind of… vision quest… didn’t seem too strange after the weird oily mixture of herb paste he’d smeared on my forehead scales. What I hadn’t expected was for him to throw the entire bundle of dry herbs into the fire right in front of me. The scent hit me hard. Don’t know how long it took me to drift off, but I certainly remember the dreams.

Always knew I had a connection to the khriith since I was little, but this was on a whole new level. I distinctly remember the feeling of the weight of the horns and armor plates of my forehead. It felt… right.
