Neomoran Archives: Soorvid Squids
Soorvid Are a Very Common Species of Aquatic Fauna on the Neomoran Homeworld. The Soorvid are farmed via Speciallized Grates being placed over the Matriarch, to ensure she cannot Interrupt or Injure harvesters. Harvesters use Nets to collect the Soorvid Spawn, before being shipped out in special saline Solution that slows their metabolism. Upon Flood Season, Many wild Matriarchs Unroot, and become a major threat due to the heightened water levels. Soorvid matriarchs In captivity are fed a shredded mix of meat and nutrients, allowing her to continue reproduction, and survival. If She stops producing, a Specialized Harpoon is used to Kill the Matriarch, and drag her out of the Saltwater Vents, Allowing her Offspring to take her place.
