Only this is a selfie from when we were about 11 or 12. We were both victims of braces back then, sporting mouths full of metal wire, making us look pretty dorky x3
It's always kind of an awkward time in life, the transition from childhood to being a teenager, starting to tentatively strike out on your own, the beginning forging your own look and identity. If you can be awkward with a friend, it makes the whole thing a little less difficult! :3
