Another Amiga made pixel art piece, featuring my sona again.
Context for those who might be new; this was made using Deluxe Paint III (1989) for the Commodore Amiga line of computers, using an emulated Amiga 500 (1987) with one megabyte of RAM available under the presumption it would have the A501 RAM and clock expansion board. This piece features a palette of 32 colours, and has been converted from .IFF to an indexed .PNG and up-scaled by a factor of two for easier viewing on modern devices.
I chose thirty-two colours for this one to give myself more room to work with which was a very good idea on my part, allowing for many more colours for a proper background and more options for anti-aliasing (which is all done manually by the way and it takes the most time to do out of anything else, I know Deluxe Paint V, and potentially IV, have an option to toggle automatic dithering based on your palette, however those are 90s programs and I'd rather stick with my 80s stuff unless I'm doing a 90s themed piece.)
Also I have submitted this piece to an Amiga art contest hosted by 10-Minute Amiga Retro Cast, so if any of you here watch him or the Amiga community in general you'll most likely see my work pop up in the 2023 showcase stream when it happens, and shown on actual Amiga hardware too which is exciting.
