The brainchild of a technology transfer between the defense industries of the Federal Imperium of Aurelia and the Anneauan Federation, the Streiklaufenpanzer II Reiher is a drastic departure from the traditional designs of the walking tank. Incorporating hovertechnology, the Reiher boasts both amphibious capabilities and vastly superior mobility at the cost of reduced armor and survivability compared to its contemporaries. Serving as the core of the Anneau Federal Defense Forces' Marine Task Forces, its first few years were spent suppressing the various petty pirate and warlord kingdoms of the boundary before the Reiher demonstrated its capabilities in the modern battlefield during the Allied War against the Vohzd's Selkan National State.
