We use to have a game we played, called 'Chicken'. You would stand about 5 feet apart, facing each other... feet about shoulder's width apart... then, with a big ol' Bowie knife you would throw it between each other's feet. It must stick in the ground... butt up. You'd slide one foot over to the knife, closing the gap, then throw it back between your opponent's feet. The gap would get smaller and smaller and the 1st one to quit was the 'Chicken'. I won once when my buddy wouldn't quit... so, with his feet firmly together, I threw one right between the shoes. By rules, if you stuck you opponent's foot you lost automatically. But, if you could split the shoes when they couldn't close down any further, you won automatically. I did have one opponent who stuck the blade between my toes (holed my shoe!). When I pulled the knife out and got ready to take my turn, he 'chickened out'. I think he was worried. LOL
