The Gaiaverse is a chaotic mix of our world, the pokemon world, and much of it’s own things. Many of the myths and legends of our world, from the holy grail, to Dracula, to King Arthur are all true, but with twists from this insane world. Within this mad, unpredictable universe, the unknown and known blur, the mundane and the eldritch. This place is utterly insane.

This universe’s Arceus is not the sanest being out there, the chaos and craziness it exudes is what helps make the Gaiaverse the Gaiaverse. If one wants an example of how crazy Arceus can get at times, look to the Elder Scrolls character, Sheogorath, daedric prince of madness.

Physics do NOT always work as they do in our world, due to the many glitches in the Unown used by arceus to create this world. For example, it is entirely possible to MOVE a hole, as if peeling a sticker off a surface and putting it on another surface. It is illegal in most countries to do this to vital infrastructure such as manholes, and can usually only be done by those who have mastered an art unique to this world, known as GORP(Gateway Orifice Relocation Practice), a strange but sacred, secret art.

Magic and Technology BOTH exist in this world, due to the psychic membrane Arceus has that wraps over the entire Gaiaverse. Magic taps into this membrane, alongside exploitation of the many glitches of this world, GORP being one, and alchemy being another, in this case, using what would otherwise be useless and mundane objects to, using objects imbued with the psychic membrane of this universe to create alchemical serums or even transform objects, such as one of the most familiar forms of alchemy to us, turning lead to gold.

Many mythological creatures from our world’s myths also exist here. Angels to bring balance and order to Arceus’ madness(though they themselves have become a threat with how templaric they can be.), Demons, who in this world were a prototype to humanity that were banished to the distortion world as they rebelled against Arceus to protect Giratina, led by Lucifer, much like in our world’s christian canon. Vampires also exist, the result of an alchemical potion to make one immortal at a steep, grim cost.
Notable angels include Aegaris, an archangel who is a zealous warrior of arceus and known to desire order. However, he is obsessed with order, to the point he has grown to RESENT pokemorphs for their chaotic ways, and humans for not being orderly to the standards he feels best, turning him to seek intrusive and extreme measures. Played a role in Giratina’s banishing, and the banishing of humanity’s prototypes and his fellow angels who dared protest the banishment, both of whom were turned to demons.
Overall, this world is where the extraordinary often is ordinary, the bizarre is common, and where chaos, action and adventure all meet. There’s never a dull moment, exciting or calm. Hilarious, adorable, or terrifying.
