Rule number one of settling into a new world as a pokemon (aside from species-related adaption and struggles).
Gotta keep doing art so I at least have a familiar routine. :3
Seriously where be the compootahs at.

In the real world the invention of the toilet happened barely a century ago. Before that it was all outhouses and/or buckets people would dump into the nearest river. Look up the history of The River Thames if you're REALLY curious how nasty things got.

But also consider they ARE technically animals. "Do Ursaring poop in the woods" and all that.
I made the "where's the washroom" thing a running joke in my ENTIRE Explorers of Sky Let's Play.

Pretty sure the original Grimer is already exactly that. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/.....9dex_entries_2
Well the whole "Lunar radiation" thing was always kinda weird because the Moon does NOT produce ionizing radiation, but it IS described as "sewer run-off" and "refuse."
Also I uh, i understood that reference. :3

That moment when you realize the PMD world is barely as technologically advanced as the Bronze Age...and the NEXT moment when you realize you can become the richest Pokémon on the planet by "inventing" all the modern human-world technologies you know anything about how to build and patenting them. ;3
Maybe not, but there are still things you could probably build that no one else in the PMD world knows how to. First things I'd "invent" are electric turbine generators, copper/zinc batteries, electric lightbulbs, telegraph machines, and perhaps most prudently...submarine scopes. Imagine how much improvement the Guild's security system would have with just a pipe with two mirrors in it.

Fair point, I could team up with a fire-type and whatnot and make wires, and then we have lightbulbs!
I would skip on the electric turbine generators, and focus on batteries - then I could charge clients for me charging those batteries! >:3
Good thing I'm not wearing a dress that can be looked up. :3
But that said, without my usual hobbies what would even a Pachirisu do for fun lol

Well that's one way of thinking about it. Or since they seem to be rips in space-time itself (hence why they change shape every time you enter them) they collect random discarded objects from all across the multiverse, kind of like Sakaar in the MCU.

True.
Also funnily enough in another Pokémon game series where the world is inhabited only by Pokémon, the PokéPark games, they have colour film still cameras, jukeboxes and trains, so they've at the very least advanced to a 1950s level of technology.

Very underrated game. Might even be my favourite of all time just slightly beating out Explorers of Sky. Both the Oshawott and Snivy got co-opted as "OCs" of mine sort-of.

The Oshawott is even who I based my "Oshawott Noire" secondary fursona on.

Also, while playing, did you ever notice this fun little bit of background dialogue? https://youtu.be/y4r2gSmK_qQ
Fair enough, I just find for older games ROMs are a lot easier to store and do Let's Plays with. Plus I can edit them to insert my character in place of the player sprite. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?li.....HmN_dCQbTyaM5Y
"So you have bionics...but no computers...?"
"Dunno what material 'bionics' is, but we have hardwood and bronze. Which do you prefer?"

I fave a head-canon theory based on the map layout in Explorers of Sky that the region it takes place in is in the Southern hemisphere, possibly New Zealand, as the areas to the south are cold and snowy and the north of the map is dominated by tropical jungles and hot deserts.
