I find myself surprisingly interested in Velkyn’s story even if you only post vague snippets of it. Hoping he winds up okay, but the prognosis looks really grim, huh?

Velkyn managed to avoid execution, but he was still found guilty of enough to receive a punishment (there was not enough evidence to prove either guilt or innocence for the rest). The locals still absolutely hate him, however, and they weren't happy that he got off as lightly as he did. So he's being confined partly for his own good, really. ^^;

That doesn't mean he's sitting idle, however - he's been putting a new plan together in the meantime. He just needs to refine it.

Thus, the party gets a helper for now. Valentin is also a ranged combatant, and he's a decent fit for the role that Velkyn usually occupies. He's probably the least talkative person from that list, but he isn't being hired to hold a conversation. XD
