BC i do Alot of stuff with unity and my Folders and Files aint a Joke i Decided to Add a Server.
Sure i could have Bought a Premade NAS but where is the Fun of That.
So i Played arround with alot of Operating Systems and ended up with TrueNAS Scale.
and i Can say it works for me.
True there are Limitations atm bc not enough RAM and i need Bigger and Faster Drives and the CPU is a bit to Weak.
But that stuff i can manage from time to time.
Atleast for now it does it's job and Since i upgraded a Part of my Network to 2.5G from 1G File Transfers don't take Forever.
Also something for the Cableporn Fans.

Server is a Fujitsu PRIMERGY TX150 S7 (Did over 10Years of Service for Staples)
CPU: Xeon X3430 (Planned to be Upgaded to a X3470)
RAM: Was 4GB when i got it. i Upgraded it to 8GB
HDD: 2*2TB (Mirrored) + 3TB (Single) + 1TB (Single) + 64GB (SSD for OS)
NIC: 100mbit (Management Port) + 2.5Gbit (Main) + 1Gbit (Fallback Offline RN)
OS: TrueNAS Scale 23.10.0.1
Internet: 100/40mbit (Server is not Reachable)

And who says what a waste of Power.
It's not since it usally only Takes about 45-55W.
Compared to over 250W that my Old PC Took that was Quickly at 100% Usage just with a Simple Filetransfers and File Requests.
