Hulltok, Captain of the Wingless Dragon
“Ahh yes, Hulltok! the captain of the crew!. The one that runs the show and calls the shots onboard the Wingless Dragon!. Ay, he be quite the captain indeed, yet, it is said that he has been meddling in the affairs of the unnatural, from time to time…”
—
Captain Anderson Hulltok, A mighty dragonkin of a strong build, with black, gray, and orange scales, and tufs of black fur here and there. Antlers sit upon his head, instead of your regular dragonborn’s normal set of horns. An intimidating fellow, a deadly man, a rather charming guy when he aims for it.
Not much is known about this man, only that he came out of the blue on the stormy seas one day, with a cutthroat crew and a sturdy ship at his command, and plundered and pillaged everything and everyone that he and his bloodthirsty crew came by back then and up till this day.
He lives for the thrill of plunder, and the rush of combat on the stormy seas, and is always on the lookout for the next big plunder and fight. He’s a smooth talker, with looks to match. A skill which he has used to persuade a multitude of unique and deranged individuals into joining his crew, with promises and rewards that he has delivered them in full and kind.
When a naval battle is afoot, his voice booms with orders and commands that demands respect across the deck. Respect, which his crewmen obeys in the fullest of their capabilities, as they hoist the sails, load the cannons, readies their swords and muskets, and are as ready as they can be, when the Captain calls to fire and board!.
He himself is not too shabby when it comes to battle, as he has felled many a man and beast alike, that have stood in his way up till this day, and he has yet to meet defeat in the art of the cutlass and flintlock.
He’s a lover of Rum, as all great pirates are, and aims to keep his crew’s morale as high as possible, through the act of festive feasts and splendors alike after a good haul of plundering. These events tend to either be on the ship, or at whatever inn there is on the cove they were going to.
But what is a Captain without his most trusted friend, the ship itself!.
The Wingless Dragon Be a mighty man-of-war, with 56 cannons on both port and starboard, to really riddle any unfortunate souls vessels asunder. Her bow be reinforced with large steel plates, enabling her to ram her foes into wooden splitters, if the cannons failed to do the job.
Ay, She be a deadly brute of a ship.
But back to the captain, for there be chatter of him communing with those of the ethereal plane.
Nothing is set in stone just jet, but some claim that he had made a deal with sprites to favor him and his crew on their many misadventures and piracy. That this deal’s cost was the souls of those they’ve killed. Then there are some that claim that the deal was one of immortality, but with the same cost as the first.
But then there are those with a claim that makes them sound insane. They claim, that the great Cpt Hulltok have been dead for a looong time, and what we all are seeing and hearing about, is nothing but a dead puppet, dancing to moves of the spirits strings.
‘If that is the case, then what are these sprites planning? What is the point?’ you may ask. And all i can say is… Hell if i know, the lunatics never explained that part of their ridiculous theory!.
—
“And that is all i have for the great Captain. Three cheers to his name!” He yells, lifting his mug as some of the other patrons those so in kind.
*Hip! Hip! HORRAY!!!*
“But anyways... there's still a lot to tell about some of his adventures, but that can wait for another time. I can see you still want to hear about some of the other special people of Hulltok’s whacky crew. So tell me…”
