I JUST got back from FWA 2011 yesterday. It. Was. Amazing. Year after year, it fails to drop out of my top spot for favorite convention. I think it's honestly the staff, because they're just so damned friendly, you want to squeeze them until their eyes pop out.
So last year, when they asked me to do some. . . things. . . for a MOULIN ROUGE - themed con, I all but leapt at the chance. Me? Working with tons of red lighting, and a house of ill repute? Noooooo. . . not my thing at ALL.
Y'all need to BE THERE next year! I hear their guests of honor are pretty cool, too. . . .

Clipping mask or layer mask?
I suggested that masks may have ben used because when I compare the sleeves on the arms and legs of the central character, I notice that the pattern doesn't curve with with the arm, but stays vertical with the leg.
Try watching this video. The great thing about masks is that is all non-destructive manipulation.
