Hideo Matabei, is one of protagonist from Before We Sink, a story i'm co-writing with my friend  Ziboe.

He is one of Camilo's agents with Fritz and Lev (Ziboe's characters). A former cook, he was conscripted after the captain of his ship noticed his knife skills and now works for the rich Camilo Morales. He is often described as a gentle giant, cute as a red panda, but a perverse and inherently violent personality seems to rise up every time he opens his eyes. Hideo is usually phlegmatic and laidback always wearing a smirk. The Akita sounds uncanny to many people, because nobody gets what he says (he speaks only japanese) and few things seem to affect him.
