I don't get it either, they done so many sequels with Mario, Zelda and other games but they haven't done anything with Starfox. It's like they refuse to do anything with the series just sit on it for no reason. If they aren't going to do anything with it, then give it to someone else who could reboot the series making it bigger and better.
I agree. F-Zero has the same dilemma. It kind of "exists," but that's it, just dormant. They definitely should send it off to a different studio that cares about it and to innovate/revitalize the franchise. There are so many people who want a new original title, and it's nuts that Nintendo isn't catching on. There was that weird crossover with some space exploration game (Starlink?) and the last official SFX title was like 2017!
