Took a moment this week to do a little personal art.

Sett and her little brother Sunnie live in a sort of post apocalyptic world that is filled with danger, fighting, and uncertainty.

". . .It was the weight of her shoulders under that beaten and dusty leather jacket. The silence pressed in on them like an unwelcome guest. Sunnie eyed his sister, trying not to turn his head and make it obvious that he was looking, but she caught him anyway. . .of course she did. She always did.
Sett's voice was calm and measured, but there was weariness there. She would never, in a million years, let it slip to anyone but her little brother.
'Can you promise me you'll be there when the sun goes out tonight?'
Sunnie reached out and put a hand on her shoulder, and she felt the reassuring presence that came with it.
'. . .If you can promise me you'll be there when it rises.'
The tug of a smile was all he saw for a moment, her eyes never leaving the horizon as the sun slowly sank below the hollowed out shell of the city beyond.
'Always.'
