Red Chain: Distinguishing Avatars, Morphs, Mons, and Beasts
This is a summary thus far distinguishing the different levels of Pokemorphs.
As has been emphasized in many many different pictures, Pokemorphs are both humans and pokemon equalized into an anthro form. To Cyrus, neither humans nor pokemon are tools to attaining power--no differences whatsoever. But also, by blending the two, it makes living the lives one used to live much more difficult.
Though they have adapted to this new way of life, there has been a wuzzy line that distinguishes the spectrum of pokemorphs in this world.
Avatars(not shown here)-Pokemorphs that have transcended to the highest form of existence. These are the few that have fused with the essence of Legendary pokemon. As of now, only pokemorphs formerly human have been known to become Avatars.
Morphs-Pokemorphs that reflect modern, civilized behavior. Typically, these were once human, but there are Mons who've been trained and taught how to behave more like real humans. Eventually, they "evolve" into Morphs themselves.
Mons-Pokemorphs that reflect tame, peaceful pokemon behavior. Typically, these were once pokemon, but there are Morphs who've given into feral instincts and urges. Eventually, they "devolve" into Mons themselves.
Beasts-Pokemorphs that reflect wild, aggressive pokemon behavior. This is the lowest rank of the spectrum and applies to both Mon and Morphs. Mons and Morphs can easily degrade to this from giving in to instinctual urges far too long. Dwelling in the Primal Lands forces them to survive entirely on instincts, and thus do they eventually become nothing more than wild animals. They forget any mannerisms they once accumulated and behave exactly as their wild kin do. This is one of the dangers faced when travelling through the Primal Lands.
Now you know all the different types of pokemorphs that exist in this world. And knowing is half the battle(GI JOE!)
Author's Notes:That's not actually me, btw. That's just someone I spawned straight from my head. :P
