Kit was walking home during an extremely bad heatwave. It was so hot that his outer clothing spontaneously combusted leaving kit in his undershirt (burned off from the mid section down), boxers, sneakers and socks on. There is flaming pile ash that was his t-shirt, belt, and trousers.
