Glorious floof! Big love for any D&D yinglet. ^_^
I have one going on right now, but the campaign is "Oops! All Dragons", so the whole party is actually dragons (and most of the characters only found out recently, including mine). But the DM is very much "Rules are more of a suggestion". Still, it's a lot of fun, even if D&D Vayryn is pretty far off of "Modern Major Yinglet" Vayryn.

I'm the only yinglet in this party (though there is a Changeling dragon who keeps a number of personas, and has recently adopted a yinglet form among them). And despite being the yinglet, I'm the most "sane" one. The rest are pretty chaotic little gremlins. I'm one of the only ones who hasn't eaten any sort of hivemind or eldritch abomination. >.> I'm kind of the "Party Mom" and half the time, I'm the Face despite having two bards present with higher skills. It's an amusing sight to see a giant minotaur follow me around and defer to me, along with two catfolk, a half-elf, and whatever Syl is being at the moment. (I tend to leave my Retainers, three yinglets I browbeat into following me as part of my Noble background, to handle business in the town/Enclave when we go out adventuring. Especially now that we have linked Bags of Holding that let me send messages back and forth between them.)
Most of the campaign is using a town as a "central hub/base of operations", and I'm the Matriarch of the yinglet enclave that started up in order to corral the town's yings and get them to stop being so much of a problem. I wasn't supposed to be, I just happened to be there when a group of sailors was like "Yeah, we're waiting on a Matriarch to take to this place, that you?" And I claimed I was. Worked great, until a month later when the actual Matriarch showed up, annoyed that her boat left without her and she had to wait, and confused that the enclave she was supposed to be founding already existed.
I had the most votes in the last election for mayor of the city, but the occupying army declared after the fact that I didn't win by enough of a margin to actually take victory. Pretty sure they would've come up with some excuse no matter what as to why they "were forced to" stay in power another year... But we've got some business to attend to elsewhere, we can worry about repelling the invading force later. For now, they're keeping the townsfolk safe and fed.
