This is the oldest story I have. I wrote the original short story around 25 years ago. It's been through two complete rewrites and multiple editing sessions. And it still has problems that I no longer have interest in correcting.

I'm only on chapter 4 or so, so I'm not going to +fav the rest of this story out of fear of spoilers whilst scrolling down to the +fav button. I tend to be forgetful, though, so if I don't wind up +faving the whole lot within the next few days (perhaps tomorrow), I will have intended, but merely forgotten to. (Just so you don't think that I only liked this chapter.)
