Here is the first preview to my Beastars Legend story! You may find it interesting to note that this preview is the same as the anime, but this will have some major changes.

Beastars Legend - Preview #1

"Woody, you're an amazing wolf and you are such an interesting, bright friend we've all had so far. Uh, not excluding your friends, however!" Legoshi and Woody are sitting next to each other in the break room of the Drama Club where they are having a private chat just to pass the time. Though Legoshi is complimenting the brown wolf on his far he's come, blue vertical lines appear on the left side of Legoshi's forehead upon the gray wolf nervously waving his hands around to excuse his offensiveness. Still, Woody is pleased with the commendation.

His own tail wagging mildly, Woody waves off the anxiety and assures Legoshi, "Eh, it's fine, Legoshi. You've nothing to worry about from me or my idol group." The brown wolf then becomes apprehensive, rubbing his neck. He then admits, "I still get nervous sometimes when I do performances. And I still have some trouble with your language - Japanese is something I still have challenges on, which is where I can use some improvement. Jim has no problem with it at all, so he helps me out when he has the time."

Upon mention of Woody mentioning his friend, Legoshi's ears pop straight up in attentiveness, "Jim? Oh right, your sheepdog friend." Settling back down, the gray wolf acknowledges, "Jim is more popular than Alfieri, even more so than Louis, if I may say. Collot has also taken a liking to him gradually - same breed of dog, to be exact."

(Cue a flashback of Jim running up to Collot and squeezing him upon first meeting…)

Woody snickers at the mention of the two sheepdogs meeting for the first time. He mentions, "Jim's excitement led to him almost crushing Collot. Excited dogs can be funny sometimes!"

"Yeah, you're quite the opposite." A brief pause, and then Legoshi sweeps an arm to pass the conversation off. "Anyways, moving on - Woody, your performances with your group are getting more and more stunning. I never thought of the possibility of idols existing in high school."

"Gotta have some fun in your life, even if music and dancing are part of it." The brown wolf shrugs in reply. He lowers his hands back to his lap while remarking, "This whole 'music group' thing was just an idea that Jim and I came up with, so we tried it out and it just exploded from there. Honestly, the attention can be a little overwhelming!"

"Hmph," Legoshi nods in both understanding and seriousness, his expression turning mildly serious with his brows furrowing, "easy to say, coming from a pair of foreign magazine models with one of them also running for the top position of 'Beastar' alongside Louis. But as long as you remain optimistic, you can reach your goal in the long run."

Here, Legoshi's expression relaxes where he takes Woody's hand in his own and raises it up, where both male wolves then lay against the floor to stare straight up at the ceiling. Soon, the two wolves are eyeballing their outstretched hands when a third hand joins the fray, followed by a familiar feminine voice. "So we're reaching for our goals, huh? They're not far off, if you ask me."

"JUNO!!!" Cue a split screen of the reactions from both male wolves. On the right: Legoshi is startled with his pupils shrunken and mouth agape. On the right: Woody's purple eyes are also dilated with his mouth also ajar, but with an expression of surprise.

"Sorry, am I interrupting something? I didn't mean to scare… you…" Juno trails off upon gazing at Legoshi and then at Woody, staring directly into his purple eyes. She internally reflects, 'Those eyes… We have the same eye color! How is that possible??'

"Uh Juno, you're staring awfully hard at him. Is everything okay?" When Legoshi acknowledges Juno, she blinks and turns to face him, slightly uncertain. "H-huh?? Oh-oh yeah, I'm fine! It's just - we have the same eye color. When you gaze at his eyes, do they remind you of a certain gemstone?"

Woody blinks at Juno, beginning to sweat slightly. "Uhhh, my eyes??"

"Hmm, now that you mention it, Juno, I do see it in his eyes. They are purple. Same as the amethyst gemstone." Legoshi approaches and stands next to Juno for a closer look, which he too makes out. This makes Woody a little uneasy but he doesn't show it yet. Instead, he points out Juno's eyes in return.

"When I first saw you, Juno, you have some of the most beautiful eyes a pretty wolf can have. At first, I was certain your eyes were purple. But now, I can see that they're blue. You have beautiful eyes, Juno." Woody's sparkling compliment makes Juno warm inside and she expresses her gratitude, "Thank you, Woody!"

"Hey, what about me?" Not wanting to be left out, Legoshi joins the conversation, wanting to see what they thought about him. "I'm not that boring, am I??"

Woody smirks and taps his nose, "You're not boring but your nose is certainly pokeable."

'Man, ever since I came here, I've been grateful to these two for guiding me. For that, I should really surprise them one day. But how? What can I do?' Juno becomes lost in thought from admiration of the two males before her. It takes Legoshi calling her, and Woody waving at her, to remove her from her daydreaming.

"Juno…?? …Juno!?"

"H-huh??" Originally, the background behind Juno was pink at first, and then black. It returns to the Drama Club break room upon the wolfess coming back to reality from Legoshi calling out to her. "O-oh, what did you guys need now? I'm fine, if that's what you're wondering."

With Juno clasping her hands behind her back and swinging her hips around mildly, she assures the pair that she's completely fine. However, Legoshi poses a question to her that begins to make her think. "So Juno, who do you appreciate the most out of this entire school? Species-wise, that is?"

"!!! Um, what??" Her face flushes completely at the question with her ears falling. But before Legoshi can restate his question, Woody sweeps Legoshi aside and proclaims, "Nah man, she's into me more."

Sensing what's about to happen, Juno starts to sweat a bit at the forehead. She groans and pleads, "Legoshi, Woody, no fighting, please. I appreciate both of you! I really do!"

Her plea falls on deaf ears and sparks fly between the two males where they growl at each other, both of them professing their attachment to her. "SHE'S MINE! NO SHE'S MINE! YOU BACK OFF! NO YOU BACK OFF!!"

Without warning, the two males immediately start fighting each other, letting their fists fly. The two roll across the ground, trying to pin and pound each other. Juno is left in shock at the aggressive, competitive display. She is too late to prevent the two from fighting, but maybe she can separate them from each other.

Just when Juno is about to step in and break them up, Woody is on top of Legoshi, ready to deliver a knockout punch with his right fist raised. Suddenly, he slowly comes to his senses and doesn't even bother to look Juno in the eye. 'No, this is pointless. We've come this far only to let something simple separate us. I can't do this…'

Without a word being said, Woody helps Legoshi up and flops himself on the gray wolf in a loose embrace, feeling humiliated. Legoshi just stands in surprise, unable to comprehend the sudden change in his American friend. Internally, the gray wolf remarks, 'This is strange. I was expecting him to knock me out. But… I see now. It's stupid, what we are fighting over, really.'

As Legoshi and Woody embrace each other tightly while standing up, Juno is pleased at watching them from the sidelines. She forms a heart with her hands and coos, "Aww, how adorable! You two are making up! If I had a camera, I'd definitely snap a picture of you guys!"
