(This is a continuation of a series that
AnonymousKat started known as Hisuian Homies, that you can see in both of our galleries as well. However, this will contain some spoilers for Pokémon Legends: Arceus for new players. If you do not want to be spoiled, please play the game first up to the point of this picture that depictures the following events that will be told.)
Some time after Kat and I first arrived in Hisui, and we had already managed to quell two Noble Pokémon. Not only that, but we even continued working on notes for the region's very first Pokedex. Plus also helping the villagers of Jubilife Village, as well as the village itself and fellow Galaxy Corp members prosper and improve as well.
One thing that surprised us however was when Whisper the Quilava and Dewott evolved. We didn't know they had adapted to Hisui enough, to where their final evolved forms became Hisuian regional variations! Whisper had become a Hisuian Typhlosion, a Fire/Ghost type who learned Infernal Parade in the process... while Dewott became a Hisuian Samurott, a Water/Dark type who learned Ceaseless Edge at the same time. It was quite the discovery, and made us eager to learn more about our final evolved forms' variations. (I was perhaps a bit too eager in my case, as I eventually soon obtained Hisuian Samurott themed clothing to wear. Though I like wearing it.)
Soon, we were called to explore the Cobalt Coastlands to further learn about Hisui's Pokémon. Not to mention giving us more Pokémon to catch, battle and even learn about within our notes. However... we soon bumped into a woman with two Hisuian Growlithes. We soon learned she was Palina, of the Pearl Clan... and that where we met her was the grave of the former Noble, Hisuian Arcanine. After learning more about her, and how she looks after the son of the fallen lord... we started to investigate strange happenings on Firespit Island, with help from a new ride Pokémon, Basculegion.
As we investigated, we were ambushed by his Miss Fortune sisters, a trio of thieves we encountered and fought off before! This time, they kidnapped the other, bigger H!Growlithe in mistaken identity, and knew we had to rescue him! Luckily we were able to get to the aforementioned island's Molten Arena, and fought off the thieves before they could force an evolution! When that happened however... the smaller H!Growlithe arrived with Palina to defend his friend from the bandits, his courage not going unnoticed and triggering his evolution into Hisuian Arcanine! Like father like son I guess.
But after everything was presumed to be good... lighting came crashing down from a space-time rift, and struck the newly evolved Noble Arcanine! What kind of lightning was that?! Especially one that was able to drive one that's able to drive Noble Pokémon into a frenzy! This was turning from bad to worse, but we knew we needed special Balms to quell his frenzy!
Only problem was us... nobody had time to grab the Volcano Balms that Palina was able to identify. And worse part was somebody needed to get them quickly!
Luckily... a plan was put into motion between Kat and I. He and Whisper would go to get the Volcano Balms with Basculegion's help (Along with a seemingly magical floatie ring for Whisper since he's a Fire type), while Samurott and I stayed behind to help Palina with restraining Noble Arcanine before he can rampage. Sounded like a good idea, especially since our notes revealed Hisuian Growlithe and its evolved form are Fire/Rock types. So that is why I agreed to stay behind while Kat and Whisper road off to get the Balms.
I would be lying if I said wasn't nervous, but I knew Kat, Palina and I were counting on him and I to quell Arcanine's frenzy. But looking at Samurott with one of his Seamitars unsheathed and wielded... I could sense he was ready, and I trusted him. I know it won't be easy, but with Rawst Berries in my inventory alongside my Potions... I know my Pokémon and I will manage, and protect each other.
I'm counting on everyone, especially my Pokémon and best friend. So please hurry Kat, the previous Arcanine's successor needs our help to quell his frenzy. Together with our Pokémon, and the Volcano Balms.
(This was quite the long one, but feels quite epic too.)
