I made an updated ref for Torpedo! To be honest, his 2021 design wasn't very well thought out. His markings were based off the orca "Toypedo" pool toys made by SwimWays way back in my childhood. I think the big rubber ones I used to play with way back (don't laugh) were recalled or discontinued. Now they make them much smaller and sell them as a bundle. Anyway, the older Torpedo design was mainly confusing, especially around the belly. It was hard to tell what his bottom markings were supposed to looked like. And every time I tried to draw what it looked like, I wasn't happy with it. So with the help of a very talented friend, I reworked Torpedo's design to something much more concise and easier to draw. I'm really happy with it, so I think I'm going to stick with this one for a very long time.
His name is Torpedo, but you can call him Torp! I had such fun creating him, especially when it came to coming up with his backstory!
Torpedo was a poor orca abandoned in a coral reef. He was raised by the all the fish there and he soon grew into the giant orca he is now.
Now he's the sole defender of his coral reef and all the fish in it, protecting them from predators like big bad sharks and barracudas.
All the fish there love him, especially the younger fish kiddies who look up to him and always bug him by using him as a big playground.

I really adore that backstory. Very voracious, obviously fictive but not crazily so and lends itself perfectly for adventurous stories and comics. Perfect for orcas imo
I am so curious how much he has been doing this. How long? How many individuals of what species he sent through his guts. Or how he feels about his diet. Or what he does when he needs to hunt for himself if the fish don't attract enough prey.

Torpedo has been digesting a lot of offending creatures for 6 years now. His reef gets attacked almost every day, either by small predators like barracudas and piranhas, to large creatures like large sharks and octopi. He works fast and silently most of the time, so all the fish in the reef can sleep easy. His gut is pretty much trained towards fitting and quickly digesting as much creatures in it as possible. When things are quiet and he's hungry, he goes out to eat fish orcas generally tend to eat like tuna or salmon. The reef can't survive without him, and he can't survive without the reef.
