In spite of how this looks, Amber is actually not in any danger here. Yes, if Death could hit her with that scythe or the gun Amber would almost certainly die. But that is a hurdle Death cannot surpass. This is just me deciding to have two of my characters fight. But thing is of the two, Amber so outclasses Death it isn't even close. That isn't to say Death is a pushover, she's a very skilled and efficient assassin and she is clearly not holding back in this little fight, but Amber is kind of broken. When I was deciding the abilities for the protagonist in my Cousin Amber story I wanted to have a character that had two powers that were reasonably strong but catered to a more support role. So I went with a teleporter because I figure that is useful but not broken, and then coupled that with the ability to see in the future, and also gave her the ability to share this with other people nearby. Now she doesn't have anything in regards to super speed, super strength or even super durability. She's about as strong and can take a hit as well as any professional mma fighter. But when I started to actually consider her abilities in a combat situation I started to realize just how broken the two are in conjunction. She cannot be surprised and since she can teleport not only herself but anything around her, she's actually one of the strongest powered individuals on the planet in her story, and that was entirely unintentional as I only wanted her strong, but not overpowered. And the problem with Death is that she has no ability to fly so Amber can just teleport her into the sky and drop her. And she can't deal with Amber's ability to see her actions before she takes them so Death is literally no threat to Amber. Which makes it a good sparring match, because Amber can practice dodging against an assassin and the assassin can hone her skills against an opponent she cannot beat.
As for the drawing itself I used the model I made in Flying Gunman, duplicated it, hid the wings and then posed them. Then made a crude scythe in blender as well, rendered it and drew over it. I also did a very segmented approach to coloring and shading, and though I think it did a lot better in that you don't have areas that are blending over into each other, but the segments are very obvious and I probably should have spent a lot more time trying to blend tem in, especially on Death. Not so much on Amber since most of her segments were on areas where you'd expect a separation. half an hour spent on Blender, 2 hours on lineart and 4 hours on color for a total time of 6.4 hours
