Another individual seeking our friend Velkyn...one that he is both particularly secretive and especially concerned about.
Because if there is one thing that is perhaps more terrifying than a monster, it's one's own kin.

Never seen a drow with dyed red hair before. Besides looking really cool, it’s an interesting idea, too.
I’m also loving just how many villain tropes you’ve managed to add into his design without making it too over the top. Intimidating spiked gear? Check. Threatening facial scars? Check. Sadistic grin? Check.
As a person, I’m betting he’s the most loathsome guy in the story yet, but designwise he’s too cool not to like.

There’s something ironic about seeking out attention and esteem by forsaking those who would be closest to you. Doubtful he has a single genuine bond out of all the people he knows.
Then again, not only did the family and society he was born into probably push him towards this path every step of the way, but he’s clearly enjoying it... so far. I’m betting this story will push exactly how much influence he actually has. (Maybe he even does have it, and his pride is justified? That’d be interesting too.)
I just noticed- is that blue glow on his right shoulder the same marking Velkyn has? Would that mean these markings are meant as a sign of power, rather than subjugation? Some sort of fiendish pact? I assume he wouldn’t share the scars on his back...

The glow on this character is not the same as the marks that Velkyn has - which, at some point I'll have to draw those in greater detail too, because they are kinda fun... ^_^
But his pride is indeed justified - he was born with more power than Velkyn was, both in status and in magical aptitude.

It’d be interesting to see more on Velkyn’s scars. I’ve wondered about the ones on his chest even more than the ones on his back- the ones on his back definitely seem more noteworthy, but the mark on the front makes me curious on how it’s a complete mystery.
If Velkyn was born with less status than his kin, does that mean he’s a bastard? And here I thought his life was bad enough already.

Both are significant in their own ways, it is true. And both were received when he was kicked all the way down to the bottom of the ladder.
His family (as with most drow families) is a bit complicated. But suffice to say, Velkyn's life has always been rough - it's just been a matter of degrees.
