Something i started work on a while back a few years ago when Disney was at their height of embracing gender diversity and queerness... as far as they did get.
Well see now how things will go with that of course. You can never fully trust corporations at all and i still remain disney fan in opposition. my main engagement is not watching their movies but just doing my reworking of their chars.
Anyways. Heres a pair of Dinsey foxie guys who happen to be bigtime Disney Princess fans at the Disney Store. Freaking out about new Princess merch Ive had some fun making a number of chars into princess fans. With a while back starting with dressing my big Mushu plush as Elsa from Frozen. So now Robin loves Jasmine, Nick loves Aurora, and plain old foxie Tod loves Tiana. :P Tod's expressing his joy in the standard way foxes do.
Anyways... final words? I guess noting but love for the long maligned squealing limp wrist twinks of the world. ^^ You make moments in life a pure joy no matter the contempt other crueler people may hold.

As a gay guy im not 100% sure the best way to represent NB people im my art. I want to but i can only add my perspective as a genderqueer male. Im not a standard traditional male. I love drag and crossdress but for me its not a 'only for fun time thing' and i live in womens clothes or a feminine appearance nearly all aspect of my daily life including work. I still identify as male though. Im aware NB can be a broad rainge of expression and physical anatomy, so i could come up with an NB character i can relate to, but i cant say at all its the true NB experience.
What i did do with this picture is hearken back to a time where i grew up where being a gay male was very much defined by rejecting masculine behavior alltogether. It was something generated by negative stereotypes, but for a lot of gay guys the stereotype became an alternative identity for them, the only representation of gay male they were aware of. And as i recall even earlier in the past there was people that definiltey were transgender or nonbinary that people all just defined as gay men. I remember an old narrative of the two guys moving to a new town with one totally living as the girlfriend, their male gender completely hidden with the hopes all these new people just see a hetero couple.
This drawing is sort of a tribute to that old queer archetype, the very extremely silly femmy male that seems more a pampered girly girl than a man. they helped get gay people into a broader acceptance by being extremely entertaining personalities and very beloved by women even though they were greatly loathed by men and pursued by deeply closeted straight men. I love them though and miss them.
In some sense though, i think they are drifting a bit to nonbinary in the way they basically subverted the presentation of gender by doing both at the same time. IDK if that is a NB experience the way ive drawn it out.
But i will offer this. Im very happy we have new modes of gender expression. I really loathe cis gay men and women who reject trans people and NB people. I depise drag queens that look down upon trans people. And i want us all to eventually be a big comfortable queer family, where our experiences are different in many ways but also we can find common cause in our shared space redefining the gender spectrum and living through a persecutive cis het dominated society.
Though they probably are not nonbinary, i would imagine they would adore NBs as kin. and you are more than happy to imagine them as NB if you like. I do intend to in the future draw a non-binary Wakko Warner. I just hope i can do it some justice.
