Well it's mainly a post apoc human civilization that's being conquered by a more powerful dinosaur civilization, which has taken over Earth's tropical and subtropical zones.
See, these dinosaurs returned to their ancestral world as refugees, after countless wars and an oppressive faction threatening to strip them of their very nature. Meanwhile humans were waging a devastating war amongst each other. To save their planet, the dinos put a stop to it...
