My partner has been going through it as of late. Between seasonal depression, normal depression and not being able to see his kiddos, its draining. I wish i had to ability to offer more help, to take all that pain and heartache away. I hear from him every couple weeks if he's improving. He is someone, that while he values and supports mental health, he cant get himself to do it for himself, even if it would help. Which i get, i do, ive been in the exact position many times. Only difference is im not a parent, i dont know that pain. He hates being a burden so he struggles with reaching out. That's where i come in! I text him daily, all these positive affirmations and compliments with my good morning and good morning texts, so he knows that, no, hes not a burden and deserves to feel appreciated and loved like anyone else. That he is worthy. I make damn sure he knows hes not alone, no matter what his head or toxic past tells him. That is why he calls me his moon, the light in the dark :3 It broke my heart for him to tell me that most days, the kind words i send him are all he has. I cant wait for him to come home so we can make more memories and start our lives together^^
