Story: Kym was born to Leah and Thomas Sterling just after her twin sister, Kyra, at Mobius Hospital. As a child, Kym was transported to Planet Earth along with her friends and family through Chaos Control and they were forced to attempt getting along with the humans and finding a new place to live. It was also here that Kym gained an interest in the humans' culture and habits and decided to study upon them. It was also at this time that Kym met Sonic, whilst studying human culture. Whilst Kyra was busy dating Sonic, Kyra continued her studies at Station Square university and graduated with honors. In Station Square, Kym bumped into Silver by accident and he explained that everyone had treated him in a negative way, due to his 'crazy' explanation of travelling through time, only to end up getting lost and ending up in Station Square. Kym believed Silver's time-travelling, however, and helped him to discover what life was like in her present time, as well as the culture of the humans who live with her. They soon became close friends and over time, the two became closer still and married before having two children a few years later; a girl named Opal and a boy named Maxx.
Personality: Unlike her sister, Kym is a very reserved and shy girl, who spends most of her time studying human behaviours and cultures. However, whenever Eggman is around, Kym is always there to help her sister fight him, beside Sonic and the gang.
Likes: Her friends/family, fighting Eggman (when required), researching human behaviours, Japanese culture and raising her children (of course!)
Dislikes: Eggman, large crowds and lightning
Strength/s: Intelligence; her many years of studying humans has helped Kym to achieve a high level of understanding the different cultures and behaviours within her new surroundings
Weakness/es: Introverted; her introverted personality often stops Kym from opening up to others and she often reacts negatively towards heavily social situations
