It's a movie...you're thinking too hard. But, to answer, if the gun's on his tail (or is his tail), I'm sure there's some muscle action in there that equates to pulling the trigger. As for reloading, I suppose he could reload each bullet individually using his teeth through some mechanism on the rattle gun that just never happens to be in view of the camera.

Or, you just go with the fact that's it's an animated comedy and things work because it wouldn't be very entertaining otherwise. We are talking about talking animals after all.

yeah, i know it just a movie and sometimes i do over think some things, it is just one of those things i like to think about. yeah, some people have said with his teeth and tongue and other say since he as those bullet belts around his body, he can position and coil up his body in a way he can put the bullets into the gun. people have said that it a gatling gun and those don't need triggers to fire, something to do with how the parts rotate.

this movie is not really a comedy, but more like a surreal fantasy, making things that would be impossible to work, do work. lol yeah, it is a movie with talking animals that carry guns. XD

I never even thought of asking that question. I was too shocked by how weird that movie was, and how beautiful it looked. I went to see it at the $1 theater, expecting it to be total crap, and I ended up actually liking it.

lol yeah, same here, i thought this movie was so weird, but yet so beautifully animated, did not think much of it at first too, but now i love this movie! after watching this movie for the the third time, i thought when jake's gun rans out of ammo, how does he reload it?

yeah, alot of people had said jake's gun is simalar to the one the women has in planet terror i guess it fires automatically without a trigger.
